Man Utd Target €70m Remiro as Onana Replacement
Marca reports Manchester United are eyeing Real Sociedad’s Álex Remiro as a potential replacement for André Onana.
The 29-year-old Spaniard has impressed in La Liga, keeping a high number of clean sheets the past two seasons.
United are actively seeking a new goalkeeper after a disappointing season from Onana. Signed for a hefty €51m last summer, Onana failed to live up to expectations following a stellar Champions League campaign with Inter Milan.
Despite initial improvement in 2024, Onana’s error-prone performances, particularly in the Champions League, have left United unconvinced.
Remiro’s €70m release clause is a hurdle, but United reportedly plan to negotiate a lower fee.
