Tuchel Left ‘Betrayed’ as Real Madrid Ends Bayern Munich’s UCL Hopes

Tuchel Reflects on Bayern Munich’s UCL Exit

Despite a valiant effort, Bayern Munich fell short in their Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid, losing 2-1. Joselu’s late brace overturned Alphonso Davies’ opener, sending Los Blancos to the final against Borussia Dortmund.

Speaking after the match, Thomas Tuchel acknowledged the pain of the defeat but praised his players’ commitment. “It’s tough to swallow,” he told DAZN. “We gave everything we had on the pitch, but there’s no room for excuses in this competition.”

Tuchel hinted at factors impacting the team’s performance, mentioning “too many injuries, substitutions, and cramps.” This could suggest fatigue or a disrupted playing strategy due to player limitations.

The loss confirms a trophyless season for Bayern, with Tuchel’s future at the club uncertain after just over a year in charge.
