Man Utd’s Loss: Ten Hag Explains What Went Wrong Against Arsenal

Ten Hag Cites Injuries and Lapse in Concentration After Man Utd Defeat

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag lamented injuries and a crucial lapse in focus following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday. This loss marked their second consecutive setback.

The Red Devils conceded the only goal through Leandro Trossard at Old Trafford. Kai Havertz’s offside position went uncalled for, allowing him to deliver a cross that Trossard converted.

Ten Hag, missing key players like captain Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, acknowledged his team’s competitiveness despite the setbacks. “With seven starters out, we were still competitive against one of the league’s best,” he remarked.

He went on to emphasize the importance of execution and focus. “It’s about carrying out the game plan.

When the right attitude and pressing are missing, it creates opportunities for any opponent. The goal conceded was a result of a small mistake by a midfielder, with significant consequences.”
