Thuram’s Struggles at Nice May Spark Transfer Interest
Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram has had a challenging season under manager Francesco Farioli. While Farioli’s tactics have been successful, they reportedly don’t suit Thuram’s style of play. This has limited his creativity and overall impact on the team.
This is a significant change from last season, when Thuram was a standout midfielder in Ligue 1. His impressive performances attracted strong interest from Liverpool and Manchester United. Notably, both clubs are now owned by INEOS, the same company that owns Nice.
Last summer, Thuram chose to stay at Nice despite offers from Premier League clubs and Juventus, where his father Lilian Thuram played as a legend. However, with this season’s struggles, a transfer seems likely this year.
Thuram’s Price Tag Makes Him a Transfer Target
Khephren Thuram could be a steal in the transfer market this summer. Due to his recent struggles and just one year remaining on his contract with Nice, French outlet Nice-Matin reports the club could accept a fee as low as €15 million to €20 million.
This aligns with Thuram’s current Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €19.3 million, which has significantly dropped from €26.8 million at the end of last season.
