Fractured Eye Socket Rules Ederson Out for Man City’s Season Finale
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson will miss the club’s final two matches of the season due to a small fracture in his right eye socket. The Brazilian stopper sustained the injury during a collision with Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero in City’s 2-0 win on Tuesday.
Ederson attempted to play on after the incident but was eventually replaced by Stefan Ortega in the 69th minute. Ortega will now take over the starting goalkeeper duties for City’s remaining fixtures, including the crucial FA Cup final against Manchester United.
