Tuchel in Talks for Potential Bayern Munich Stay After Rejection Spree
In a surprising turn of events, Thomas Tuchel is reportedly open to staying on as manager of Bayern Munich, according to ESPN. Back in February, the German tactician announced his departure from the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.
However, Bayern’s pursuit of potential replacements has hit a roadblock. Their reported targets, including Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralf Rangnick, have all turned down the job. This has led the club to re-open negotiations with Tuchel about the possibility of him remaining in charge.
While previously linked with a move to Manchester United, Tuchel reportedly harbors concerns about not landing the job even if current manager Erik ten Hag departs. He is, however, open to a formal approach from United if talks with Bayern break down and the Old Trafford hotseat becomes available.
