Germany Euro 2024 Squad Announced: Nübel Omitted, Young Stars Included.

Alexander Nübel Omitted from Germany’s Euro 2024 Squad

Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has been excluded from Germany’s final 26-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. The experienced Manuel Neuer, Marc-André ter Stegen, and Oliver Baumann make up the selected goalkeepers.

The defense features Waldemar Anton, Benjamin Henrichs, Joshua Kimmich, Robin Koch, Maximilian Mittelstädt, David Raum, Toni Rüdiger, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Jonathan Tah.

In midfield, Robert Andrich, Chris Führich, Pascal Groß, İlkay Gündoğan, Toni Kroos, Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlović, Leroy Sané, and Florian Wirtz have been selected.

The forward line includes Maximilian Beier, Niclas Füllkrug, Kai Havertz, Thomas Müller, and Deniz Undav.

Nübel’s omission comes as a surprise to some, as he was considered a potential contender for the starting goalkeeper role. However, Neuer’s strong performances and ter Stegen’s experience likely played a factor in the decision.

Germany will begin their Euro 2024 campaign on June 14th against France.
