Sergio Ramos’ time at Sevilla has come to an end after his contract expired, the club announced on Monday.
The 38-year-old defender made 37 appearances and scored seven goals across all competitions last season, but Sevilla finished a disappointing 14th in La Liga.
Despite the club’s desire to extend his contract, as reported by ESPN, Ramos has opted to explore new opportunities. Rumors suggest interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and MLS.
A farewell press conference is scheduled for tomorrow at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium, where Ramos will be joined by Sevilla president José María del Nido Carrasco.
