Scottish Move Secured: Defender Oyegoke Signs Three-Year Hearts Deal

Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) have announced the signing of defender Daniel Oyegoke on a three-year contract.

The 21-year-old arrives from Brentford for an undisclosed fee, becoming the fourth summer arrival at Tynecastle Park following James Penrice, Ryan Fulton, and another James Penrice (likely a typo).

Oyegoke spent the previous season on loan at Bradford City, making 28 appearances across all competitions. Hearts manager Steve Naismith expressed his optimism about the young defender: “We’re delighted to secure Daniel.

He brings versatility, physical presence, and composure on the ball. His willingness to play under pressure aligns perfectly with our philosophy.

We’re particularly impressed by his ambition to develop his career, and we believe Hearts will provide the platform for him to reach new heights.”
