Ex-Super Eagles Coach Finidi George Takes the Helm at Rivers United
Get ready for a new leader at the helm! Rivers United will officially introduce Finidi George, 52, as their new head coach this Thursday. This comes after Stanley Eguma’s departure from the position towards the end of last season, as reported by DAILY POST.
The unveiling ceremony will take place at the club’s headquarters in Port Harcourt. Finidi returns to coaching duties just weeks after stepping down as the Super Eagles’ head coach.
Fans might remember him leading nine-time NPFL champions, Enyimba, to victory in the 2022/23 season. Before that, he honed his coaching skills as Enyimba’s manager for three years.
Rivers United will be hoping Finidi’s magic touch can turn things around after a lackluster eighth-place finish in the last NPFL season.
