Spain’s midfield maestro, Rodri, isn’t the only one orchestrating magic for La Roja at Euro 2024. The Manchester City star heaped praise on his fellow countryman and Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella, for his impressive performances.
While Rodri is known for his defensive prowess in the center of the park, Cucurella has been a rock at left-back, helping Spain maintain a clean sheet in three out of their four matches so far.
“I already knew him,” Rodri admitted in an interview with El Partidazo de Cope, “but the level he is showing in a context like this in a Euro Cup… he is helping us a lot, especially defensively, with the character he has. I am loving it and I hope he continues at this level.”
