Nigeria’s Super Eagles kick off their journey to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a challenging away fixture against Libya, according to DAILY POST.
The draw, held in Johannesburg on Thursday, placed the Super Eagles in Group D alongside Libya, Benin Republic, and Rwanda.
The opening matches will be played between September 2nd and 10th, with the remaining qualifiers spread across October and November. This campaign holds a chance for revenge, as Nigeria previously defeated Libya 3-2 in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.
Only the top two teams from the group will progress to the finals in Morocco, scheduled for December 21st, 2025, to January 18th, 2026.
