Rwanda Coach Admits Difficulty Facing Nigeria in AFCON 2025 Qualifiers

Rwanda’s head coach, Torsten Frank Spitller, has shared his thoughts on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying draw, as reported by DAILY POST.

The Amavubi find themselves in a challenging group alongside Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Libya.

Additionally, Rwanda is grouped with Nigeria and Benin for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Spitller expressed his disappointment with the draw’s outcome, stating, “It’s actually a little bit sad that we have two teams in the group, Nigeria and Benin, with whom we are playing in the same group in the World Cup qualifiers.

But it is what it is,” as quoted by the official website of the Rwanda Football Federation.

The AFCON 2025 qualifiers are set to begin in September.
