The Euro 2024 tournament won’t feature a third-place play-off, unlike the World Cup.
This means the losing teams from the semi-finals, France and the loser between England and Netherlands, will conclude their Euro 2024 journey after their respective semi-final matches.
The tradition of a third-place match has been absent from the Euros since 1980, when Czechoslovakia edged out Italy 9-8 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The focus now shifts to the highly anticipated final between Spain and their opponent to be decided on Sunday.
