Striker Álvaro Morata appears set to depart Atletico Madrid after the club reportedly informed him he is free to leave.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have expressed their intention to trigger Morata’s €13 million release clause. The Spanish forward has also verbally agreed to a four-year deal with the Italian club.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo acknowledged the situation, stating (as reported by Romano) that the club prioritizes players who are committed to staying, but will not stand in the way of those seeking an exit.
