AC Milan Bolster Attack with Signing of Alvaro Morata
AC Milan have officially signed Spanish striker Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid on a four-year deal, with an option for an additional year.
The 31-year-old forward, who recently captained Spain to victory in the European Championship, underwent his medical earlier this week.
“We are proud to announce the signing of Álvaro Borja Morata Martín,” Milan stated in a press release.
Morata expressed his excitement to join the Rossoneri, crediting the influence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and manager Paulo Fonseca in his decision.
The experienced striker boasts a successful career, having played for top clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid. He brings a wealth of experience with over 500 appearances and 172 goals across various competitions.
Morata has also lifted numerous trophies, including two Champions League titles, two LaLiga titles, and two European Championships with Spain.
He will wear the number seven shirt at Milan, previously donned by Yacine Adli who will now switch to number 94.
