Maresca Prepares for Life Without James
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that he is planning for the start of the season without captain Reece James.
The England defender is carrying a four-match ban from the previous campaign, which will rule him out of the early stages of the new season.
Speaking ahead of a pre-season friendly, Maresca admitted that he is already considering how to cope without James in the team. “We will see if it’s tomorrow or one of the games we have ahead,” he said. “As you said, because he is suspended, we need to try without him.”
