Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup with Neto

Chelsea’s Abundance of Options: Fitting Neto into the Starting XI

Chelsea’s summer transfer window has been a whirlwind of attacking talent, with the recent acquisition of Pedro Neto adding another layer of depth to their already impressive squad. While the Portuguese winger joins a star-studded cast including Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling, and Cole Palmer, he remains determined to make his mark on the team.

Formation and Rotation

New manager Enzo Maresca is expected to favor a 4-2-3-1 formation, with squad rotation a key strategy to maintain player fitness and satisfaction. This allows for high-pressing, dynamic play throughout the season.

Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez is likely the starter, although competition from Filip Jorgensen keeps him sharp.

Defense:

Right-back: Reece James is the preferred choice if fit, with Malo Gusto as a reliable backup.

Center-backs: New signings Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill could be the first choice, with Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, and Axel Disasi waiting for their opportunities.

Left-back: Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella will vie for the starting spot. Cucurella’s impressive Euro 2024 performance showcases his defensive strengths.

Midfield:

Double Pivot: The big-money duo of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo is expected to be the dominant force in central midfield.

Attacking Midfielder: Christopher Nkunku, finally free from injury, will likely take the number 10 role.

Attack:

Wingers: Newcomer Pedro Neto and rising star Cole Palmer will likely occupy the flanks.

Striker: Nicolas Jackson currently holds the starting position, although options like Marc Guiu and the incoming Samu Omorodion could change the picture. Nkunku could also play up front, with an additional midfielder coming into the XI.

Predicted Line-up:

 GK: Robert Sanchez

 RB: Reece James

 CB: Tosin Adarabioyo

 CB: Levi Colwill

 LB: Marc Cucurella

 CDM: Moises Caicedo

 CDM: Enzo Fernández

 CAM: Christopher Nkunku

 RW: Cole Palmer

 LW: Pedro Neto

 ST: Nicolas Jackson

This is just one possible lineup, and Maresca has a wealth of options at his disposal. The competition for places is fierce, and Pedro Neto will need to showcase his talent to earn a consistent starting role.
