Crystal Palace Eyes Chelsea Duo Amid Spending Spree
Crystal Palace are keen to bolster their squad with the addition of two Chelsea players, Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka. The Eagles are looking to capitalize on Chelsea’s squad overhaul as the London club seeks to balance their books following a summer of heavy spending.
Defender Chalobah has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge and has been excluded from first-team training. The 25-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs, including Palace, and Chelsea are open to offers.
Meanwhile, the highly-rated Chukwuemeka is also on Palace’s radar. The 20-year-old midfielder has shown promise but faces stiff competition for playing time at Chelsea. The Eagles are prepared to invest significantly in the young talent but prefer a permanent deal, unlike Chelsea’s initial preference for a loan move.
While Barcelona have expressed interest in Chukwuemeka, manager Hansi Flick has indicated that the club is unlikely to make any further signings this summer. This could pave the way for Crystal Palace to secure the midfielder’s services.
