Chelsea Pursue Osimhen Loan Deal
Chelsea remain interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen but are only willing to pursue a loan deal for the Nigerian forward. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is holding firm on the player’s €130 million release clause, a valuation that has deterred potential suitors including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blues were previously close to signing Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid but the deal fell through over personal terms. This has led Chelsea to refocus their efforts on Osimhen, albeit on their own terms.
However, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has dismissed suggestions of a cut-price move away from Napoli, indicating a potential stumbling block in negotiations.
