Leicester Hold on for Deserved Point Against Tottenham
Leicester City staged a spirited comeback to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener.
Tottenham dominated the early stages, with a goal-bound effort from Dominic Solanke miraculously cleared off the line by Wilfred Ndidi. The visitors eventually took the lead through Pedro Porro’s header, but Leicester emerged a rejuvenated side in the second half.
Jamie Vardy’s clinical finish levelled the scores, and Leicester could have snatched a winner late on. Despite Tottenham’s late pressure, the Foxes held firm to secure a valuable point on their return to the Premier League.
