16-Year-Old Porter Makes Arsenal History
Jack Porter has become the youngest player to ever start a game for Arsenal. The talented teenager has been selected by Mikel Arteta for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup match against Bolton Wanderers.
Despite signing scholarship terms with Arsenal just this summer, Porter has earned a surprising opportunity. With David Raya injured and Neto ineligible for the cup, the 16-year-old will make his first-team debut.
Porter has limited experience with Arsenal’s Under-23 side, let alone the senior team. However, his selection showcases the club’s commitment to developing young talent.
Ethan Nwaneri previously held the record for Arsenal’s youngest Premier League player, having made his debut at the age of 15 in 2022.
