Manchester United has announced the departure of manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman, who took charge of the club in April 2022, led the Red Devils to domestic success, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
In a statement, the club thanked Ten Hag for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavors. “We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future,” the statement read.
To fill the managerial void, Ruud van Nistelrooy has been appointed as interim head coach. He will be supported by the current coaching staff while the club conducts a search for a permanent replacement.
