Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed satisfaction with his side’s goalless draw at Everton, despite the missed opportunity to leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
“I’m very happy,” Maresca told reporters after the match. “I told this to the players. I’m more happy than the Brentford game.” He acknowledged the challenging nature of the fixture, stating, “Everton it’s tricky game, tricky stadium, tricky team, they’re one of the five best teams defensively in Europe in terms of clean sheets.”
The draw at Goodison Park prevented Chelsea from overtaking Liverpool at the summit, but Maresca emphasized the importance of a positive result against a strong Everton side.
